Tug Valley Bass Anglers 2009 Award Winners |

On Sunday December 13th the Tug Valley Bass Anglers held their annual awards banquet at the Thoroughbred Steakhouse at Belfry, Ky. The banquet is the last function in a hard fought, nine tournament season. There were eleven awards given out in seven categories. Kevin Runyon, was the big winner, taking top honors in both the Angler of the Year and Club Champion races for the third year in a row. In addition to the trophies and cash awards every member attending the banquet received a duffle bag with embroidered club logo. All the awards were custom made crankbait plaques. The awards and winners are as follows. Angler of the Year- (Award based on total weight for 9 tournaments) 1st - Kevin Runyon---Total Weight 54lbs 6oz - ($100.00) 2nd-- Brandon Staten --Total Weight 35lbs 12oz 3rd--Larry Staten--Total Weight 29lbs 8oz Club Champion- (Award based on total points for 9 tournaments. 26 points awarded for each win) 1st--Kevin Runyon---194 points - ($856.00) 2nd--Brandon Staten ---177 points - ($546.00) 3rd--Larry Staten--153 points - ($390.00) Big Bass Award- Lynn Fields, 6lbs 14oz largemouth from Douglas Lake at the Nov. tournament. Largest Weigh in Award- (Award based on the largest one day stringer of fish weighed in) Keith Pacific- 12lbs 10oz five fish limit from Carr Fork Lake at the May tournament. Most Improved Angler- Lacy Edmiston Non-boater Champion- Andy Maynard Club Classic Champion- Douglas lake, November tournament. 1st - Lynn Fields - 15.50 lbs two day total. - ($1,165.00) 2nd - Kevin Runyon - 14.59 lbs two day total - ($699.00) 3rd - Brandon Staten -12.77 lbs two day total. - ($465.00) |
