"Tug Valley Bass Anglers Dewey Lake Tournament

                      Presented by Gander Mountain"

On April 17th the Tug Valley Bass Anglers held its second tournament of the 2011 season on Dewey Lake.  There was a great turn out, 25 anglers competed in the event.

Dewey Lake was in flood mode, it was about 4 feet above summer pool and was still coming up.

The water was heavily stained on the lower end of the lake at the dam with a temperature of 58

degrees..  The back of the lake was so muddy you could track a deer across it.  Basically the lake was blown out, it was in terrible shape.

Weather for the tournament was perfect with mostly sunny skies, moderate winds and an air temperature around 70 degrees..

The fishing was awful but the fish that did bite were caught in the backs of the pockets were the clearest water could be found.

The main pattern for this tournament was to pitch or flip soft plastics to shallow flooded cover and hope for a bite.

The top finishers are as follows.

1st --Johnny Webb --- (1 fish) 4.86 lbs.

2nd --Brad May --- (1 fish) 1.78 lbs.
