On July 10th the Tug Valley Bass Anglers held its fifth tournament of the 2011 season on the Ohio River at Ashland, Ky.

The Ohio River was at normal elevation and the water was lightly stained to stained.

Weather for the tournament was good with mostly sunny skies, light winds and an air temperature around 95 degrees..

The fishing was fair for the river, it can be very tough at times. The fish were caught in 1 to 6 feet of water on the main river.

The main pattern for this tournament was to fish crankbaits and soft plastic on any cover near deeper water. Total fish weighed in was 42.65 lbs.

The top finishers are as follows.

1st -- Brandon Staten --- (5 fish) 6.05 lbs.

2nd --Greg Maynard --- (4 fish) 6.03 lbs.

3rd -- Johnny Webb --- (3 fish) 5.63 lbs.

4th -- Keith Pacific --- (4 fish) 5.16 lbs.

5th -- Michael Salyer --- (3 fish) 4.30 lbs.

6th -- Gary Varney --- (2 fish) 2.74 lbs.

7th -- Kevin Runyon --- (2 fish) 2.10 lbs.

8th --Lynn Fields --- (2 fish) 1.98 lbs.

9th --Mitch Salmons --- (2 fish) 1.96 lbs.

10th -- Joe Collins --- (1 fish) 1.44 lbs.
