Fishtrap Lake & Wildlife Area

Come and enjoy the natural scenic beauty of the southeastern Kentucky countryside and the recreational facilities at Fishtrap Lake. Located on Route 460, the lake is located entirely in Pike County on the Levisa Fork of the Big Sandy River, near the borders of Virginia and West Virginia. Built by the Army Corp. of Engineers, this 1,130 acre lake has a boat ramp, fishing, boating, a marina, and picnic areas. The lake was built to regulate water flow from Flanagan Dam. The lake is open year-round.
