Held in Elkhorn City the second weekend in May, the annual Apple Blossom Festival celebrates the glory of springtime in the mountains. Vendor booths and a parade fills Elkhorn's streets as locals, visitors, and returning residents enjoy the mild weather and just "getting together." Craft booths, country music, local art, and delicious food are plentiful, but the "star" of the festival is the splendor of Spring as the surrounding mountains are painted with dogwood and redbud.
