Diary September 9, 1998 - In which there is much talk about "anagodlin," "laying off the land, " and "Billy-fine," I have a wonderful country lunch with "Aunt Pas," Bobby L. tells a squirrel story about Radar and Jukebox, I visit Mrs. H., and Mrs. S..

Diary September 16, 1998  - In which I officially began as Interim Pastor, I visited several interesting families, and the church committees met.

Diary September 27, 1998 - In which members remember former pastors, I sing Yuaz-Yuray in church, and tell the story of the 23rd Pound.

Diary October 10, 1998 - In which I attend the world famous Rice Festival in Weiner, Arkansas including the Demolition Derby and the Harvest Worship Service.

Diary November 1, 1998 - In which Bobby L. tells a squirrel story on his Dad, Rice tells about the deer that got lose in the backseat of a car, and Kenton tells about throwing up four days ago.

Diary November 15, 1998 - In which Bobby L. tells a joke on the preacher, the C.'s invite me to dinner at the Coastal, Kenton shows me the headstone for his dead cat - Bocephus, Lorene H. tells about the tragic death of her grandson, and Earl loses the farm.
